Personal submission e.g. How would attendance at the safety 2010 conference help you to improve the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety in your locality?	i am an ex army men who has seen violence from a very close angle.I am working for IPPNW for last 6 years and is currently heading the student wing of IDPD.I am sensitising students during my extra lecture tenure regarding the ill effects of violence leading to injury and the methods to be followed for promotion of safety as I feel that students are the budding responsible citizens of the country and if the concept of prevention of injury and the importance of promotion of safety is taught to them during their initial formative years it will have a long lasting effect on their mind.Being a post graduate medical men I feel the voice of doctors are heard with more seriousness by the genral public and I have used this forum of being a doctor and a teacher to sensitise students and public.I have a team of dedicated students who regularly organise road shows, street plays, demonstartions for lay public regarding safety and prevention of injury as with their white aprons on, public listen more to them rather than just organising a lecture by a lay person.As a medical professional with Army background I feel I am in a better position to sensitise public regarding prevention of injury as I can make them well convinced about its harmfull effect and can equally sensitise them for promotion of safety which will go a long way in improving their overall health.
