Personal submission e.g. How would attendance at the safety 2010 conference help you to improve the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety in your locality?	There are many advantages of this conference for me. First of all, my attendance at this conference will give a lot of inputs for my current PhD research on children injuries. And also being an Epidemiologist, it is my ambition to disseminate the knowledge that I gain from the conference to the benefits of community in my locality. I am optimist that the conference programme will provide the evidence to focus injury prevention initiatives that are tailored to suit the different determinants of injuries. The patterns and priorities that I will identify from this conference, can be translated into adoption of evidence-based injury control efforts that are aimed at different demographic characteristics. This conference will in turn expected to benefit individual, community, government and the country, in terms of reducing the incidence of injuries, improvement of quality of life as well as reducing the cost burden on the health system.
