Personal submission e.g. How would attendance at the safety 2010 conference help you to improve the prevention of injury and the promotion of safety in your locality?	Over the last six years, I have been working as a health expert at the Standing committee on Health Care affairs at the Parliament of Armenia, which works in the field of health, child and woman issues. My typical duties at the Committee involve provision of professional expertise of legislative/policy documents, drafting legislative and regulation papers, working and cooperating with main stakeholders, etc. In particular, Ive made my own contribution in preparation and drafting of Public Health Law, Tobacco Control Law, Health Law, Blood Transfusion Law, HIV/AIDS Prevention Law, Organ Transplantation Law, Pharmaceutical Legislation, Licensing Law, etc. This conference will allow me to understand the issue of injuries (which is the third cause of mortality in Armenia)and violence and be informed about the international experience how to prevent them, particularly by the legislation and other legal acts. During last year I have been actively involved in the activities in Armenia regarding women and Childs health in particular I have participated in the drafting of the Strategy paper on Child and Adolescent Health and Development in Armenia for the 2009-2015 period, besides that I have been involved in the IMCI research in Armenia, MDG and PRSP discussions and several other activities within the partnerships with UNICEF and WHO . At the present I am involved in the group which is preparing progress report on implementation of requirements of the Child rights convention in Armenia.All these activites had a part devoted to the mentioned issues.
