Nearly 90 % of the victims being affected by interpersonal violence show signs of injuries in the head, neck, face and mouth area. Therefore, dental practice belongs to the health care settings which the victims may consult. Dentists feel responsible to medicate women who are affected by domestic violence but they need further information to recognize specific signs. More than 90 % of the dentists would like to have recommendations for actions as well as specific  information for patients.
Research Questions
The aim of the project is to develop recommendations for actions for dental practice in dealing with women suffering from domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Additionally a dental record system shall be created to document the respective injuries for future court proceedings. At this point/Here the main focus lies on documentation of injuries in the mouth area, for example broken teeth or injuries of the mucous membrane inside of the oral cavity. Further injuries of the head, neck and face can be described by means of anatomical figures.
Material and Methods 
A systematic literature research in several databases (Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CINAHL, MEDLINE) was conducted to identify relevant articles and studies. In order to complete the research international guideline-databases, as for instance the Guideline International Network (GIN) or the National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), were browsed/ searched. Based on the results, the recommendations and record system were developed in collaboration with the advisory council
