Nowon district project making safe community  
-Project background and purpose
  Nowon district whose population is about 62 thousand people takes 6.6% of Seoulites, the second city of 25 districts in Seoul. Nowon district has been chosen as the best city to live in Korea and the safest city without crime in Seoul, in 2008 year.
On this foundation, we plan to improve brand value of Nowon-Gu as a safe city officially recognized by the world by promoting continual study and develop of Preventing-Crime program..
-Methods
1.Building an infrastructure based on partnership and collaborations
  .Organized 'Safe Community Promotion Committee'   2.Promoting living safety in overall society
 1)Crime prevention CCTV Program for safety in vulnerable areas(345spots)
 2)Safety program for students
  .High school students homecoming informing letter service by using transportation card
  .The children to and from school informing letter service by cellphone 
 3)Children safety experience center opens (2010.1.11)
 4)The aged care service(single old folks living tender)
 5)Suicide prevention program 
  .The MOU agreement of Nowon Police and Nowon mental health center(2009.7)
 6)Nowon-gu dementia aid center opens(2009.12)
Conclusion
  In accordance with the project promotion orientation of international Safe Community, Nowon shall keep on the safe network together with Affiliate Safe Community Support Center and community officials and the people of community 
 Along with a steady performance of the project, it will develop residents' safety program fitted for the characteristic of Nowon-gu.
